Country: Argentina
Wine district: Mendoza
Wine commune: Uco Valley
Variety: Malbec

Alcohol: 14.20 %

The Atamisque is an emblematic flower of the Uco Valley, where this great-value Malbec is crafted. With a ripe raspberry and blackberry nose, this wine is packed with red berries and black fruit, along with cedar spice and notes of smoked meat. Medium-full bodied, with a rich texture and a long, juicy finish. My note: Savoury, rich with blueberry and blackberry aromas. Full-bodied and smooth with some violets and coffee on the finish. The grapes come from 70-year-old vines at an altitude of 4,430 feet. Food matches: Tandoori chicken, beef chimichangas.
