Surrounded by a unique setting in the Serra Gaúcha, Salton Winery has kept to its mission since the beginning of the last century: to make healthy and high-quality wine, sparkling wine and juice, and promoting the maximum satisfaction of its consumers.

The company was formally founded in 1910, when Paulo and his brothers Ângelo, João, Cezar, Luiz and Antônio Salton formalized their father’s business, which made wine informally, like most of the Italian immigrants. The siblings started to cultivate grapes and to make wine, sparkling wine and vermouth, under the name “Paulo Salton & Irmãos” (brothers), in downtown Bento Gonçalves.

A century later, Salton is recognized as one of the main wineries in the country and, in its extensive list of achievements along these 100 years of history, Salton Winery celebrates being a family-owned business using 100% national capital. The third generation has been leading the company, both the main office in Tuiuty and the branch in Sao Paulo. Besides that, the fourth generation is already taking part in the decisions and strategies, and being a promise to keep leading the company with dedication and hard work.

The winery, which is the number one major sparkling wine producer in the country and has been the number one in sparkling wine sales for four consecutive years, has a history highlighted by innovations, qualification and investments. The change of the main office location to Tuiuty – a district of Bento Gonçalves, surrounded by natural beauty – in 2004 was a milestone in this history of success. This change was pushed by the family dream to make Salton become a wonderful and unforgettable tourist area.
