Since 1994 (when the company was founded) Asconi achieved a lot. Modernization of the manufacturing process was one of the major objectives of the Company from the very beginning. Nowadays due to regular equipment investments winemakers of the Company use up-to-date production facilities of the best Italian and French manufacturers.
Asconi owns about 400 ha of vineyards of Cabernet-Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Muscat Ottonel varieties near Geamana village, Anenii Noi region. The picturesque vines are situated about 40 km to the south from Chisinau and 10 km from the winery.
Thanks to low labor cost our grapes are always carefully hand-picked to keep the leaves and twigs out of the pails. Moreover the pickers only pick the ripe grapes.
We always strive for new knowledge and experience in art of making wine. This is why we use small-lot winemaking to craft new wines, single-vineyard wines or to define the best winemaking techniques.
In reply to European market request we have implemented the International Food Standard (ISO 22000:2005)
