Our sacred vow - to guarantee and reincarnate the quality and tradition of the old bulgarian wine-makers and vine-growers.
Our winery has 56 ha of vineyards, specially planted with high quality certified planting material. Our vineyards feature seven distinct red wine varienties: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Sangiovese, Tempranillo and Angelotta. They were selected by a team of professional agronomists and regional vine-growers, whose selection was done according to the soil and climate conditions of our region.
At the same time, Light Castle Winery will begin this year planting of local red and white wine varieties, some of which are of ultimate value to the Bulgarian winemaking and vinegrowing, because of their extremely low numbers. We are proud to be able to preserve such priceless bulgarian treasures, and will be very glad to show it to the world.
With this amazing conditions and superb quality vine plants, Light Castle Winery has the hard bu prestigious task of producing the best high quality bulgarian red wines, with superb taste, aroma and overall characteristics and last but not least the great pro-health effects.
Since 2009, Light Castle Winery has started bio certification, and the winery will be the first 100% organic bulgarian winery!!!
